Restaurant Operations Trainee

The franchise restaurants Big Smoke Burger and South St. Burger are located in downtown Toronto close to the subway line.

Big Smoke Burger is known for gourmet burgers grilled to perfection.

South St Burger motto is better burgers, better fries and better shakes.

The restaurant business is an essential food service provider to create memorable dining experiences for existing and new customers.

Franchise restaurants have unique support systems: brand recognition, operations manuals, dedicated suppliers, promotional strategies, and the benefits of a standardized menu.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of daily restaurant operations focusing on quality assurance, inventory levels and loyal customers’ growth

  • Food Handler Certificate and Smart Serve Certificate

  • Knowledge of WHMIS and HACCP procedures

  • Proficiency food prep skills, health/safety standards and food waste management

  • Ability to execute opening and closing restaurant procedures

  • Exceptional customer service skills to create memorable dining experiences

  • Knowledge of the sales funnel, delivery apps and promote menu items

  • Multi-tasker, critical thinking skills and the ability to handle customers’ complaints

  • Ability to foster and execute brand recognition
